Steel Structure

JY Steel Building is a trusted manufacturer and exporter of prefabricated steel structures with more than 16 years of industry experience. With ISO, CE, and AISC certifications, we ensure every project meets international quality and safety standards.
Our factory is equipped with advanced production lines and covers over 50,000 m², with an annual capacity of more than 100,000 tons of steel structures. We have delivered projects across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe, earning the trust of clients in industrial, commercial, and agricultural sectors.

Why Choose Prefabricated Steel Structures?

1. Prefabricated components are manufactured in advance and assembled on site, which greatly reduces construction time compared with traditional concrete buildings.

2. Our steel structures are built with Q345B high-strength steel and advanced anti-corrosion treatments. With proper maintenance, they can remain in service for more than 50 years.

3. Prefabricated steel structures can be tailored in terms of span, layout, height, and load capacity, making them suitable for warehouses, factories, hangars, commercial spaces, and agricultural facilities.

4. Shorter construction schedules, reduced labor requirements, and lower long-term maintenance costs all make steel structures a cost-effective choice.

5. Steel is fully recyclable and the prefabrication process minimizes on-site waste. This makes prefabricated steel structures an environmentally responsible solution that aligns with modern sustainability standards.

How to Choose the Right Steel Structure for Your Project

Selecting the right prefabricated steel structure is not only about choosing a building frame, but also about finding a solution that matches your project’s function. The following factors will guide you in making the right decision:

1. Application Type

Warehouses and Logistics Centers

These buildings often require large clear spans and high load capacity to accommodate storage racks, forklifts, and other heavy equipment. Prefabricated steel structures provide the necessary strength and flexibility for efficient warehouse operations.

Workshops and Factories

Workshops and factories need layouts that support heavy machinery and allow smooth workflow. Steel structures enable open floor plans with minimal columns, facilitating better production efficiency and equipment arrangement.

Agricultural Buildings

For poultry houses, cattle sheds, or other agricultural facilities, proper ventilation and corrosion-resistant materials are essential to maintain a healthy environment for livestock. Prefabricated steel structures can be designed to optimize airflow and withstand harsh farming conditions.

Aircraft Hangars and Terminals

Hangars and terminals require wide clear spans without internal columns to allow aircraft or vehicles to move freely. Steel structures offer the high strength and long spans needed for safe and efficient operations.

Commercial Buildings

Commercial projects, such as office complexes, shopping centers, and multi-story buildings, require both structural strength and design flexibility. Prefabricated steel structures allow for open interior layouts, easy modification of spaces, and integration of modern architectural elements.

2. Design Requirements

Every project site has its own technical demands. Steel structures can be designed to fit the exact size and number of floors required, while also providing wide column-free spaces when necessary. Roof and wall systems can be upgraded with insulation panels for energy efficiency or with fireproof materials for enhanced safety. In regions with extreme climates—whether it is heavy snow, typhoons, or coastal humidity—steel structures can be engineered with reinforced joints, wind-resistant bracing, and anti-rust coatings to ensure long-term stability.

Steel Structures Design Considerations

1. Project Location

Wind Load: According to ASCE 7-16 standard, basic wind speed varies by region from 90 mph (145 km/h) in low-risk zones to over 150 mph (240 km/h) in hurricane-prone areas.

Snow Load: ASCE 7-16 defines ground snow loads from 5 psf (0.24 kN/m²) in southern US regions to over 70 psf (3.36 kN/m²) in mountainous or northern zones.

Environmental factors such as seismic activity (measured by peak ground acceleration, PGA) also dictate structural reinforcement requirements.

2. Building Purpose

Industrial workshops typically require design live loads of 125–250 psf (6–12 kN/m²) to accommodate heavy equipment and moving machinery.

Warehouses generally design for live loads of 125 psf (6 kN/m²), while storage racks may require localized loads up to 1000 psf (48 kN/m²).

Aircraft hangars need clear spans exceeding 30 meters with roof live loads from 20–40 psf (1–2 kN/m²) due to minimal internal supports.

3. Dimensions

Typical steel structure building spans range from 15 m to 60 m, with lengths exceeding 100 m possible via modular expansion.

Standard eave heights range from 6 m to 12 m for industrial buildings; specialized structures like hangars may exceed 20 m.

4. Span and Column Spacing

Common column spacing varies between 6 m to 9 m in workshops to optimize material usage and crane operation.

Longer spans (up to 60 m) often require truss or space frame systems to reduce internal columns and maximize workspace.

5. Overhead Crane Configuration

Overhead cranes in steel structure factories typically range from 5 tons to 50 tons capacity.

Crane runway heights commonly vary from 6 m to 12 m, depending on building usage.

Lift height requirements are generally 6 m to 15 m to accommodate equipment and storage.

6. Enclosure Systems

Insulation materials used often achieve U-values (thermal transmittance) of 0.3 – 0.5 W/m²·K, conforming to international energy codes.

Lighting design targets 300 – 500 lux for warehouses and 500 – 1000 lux for precision workshops.

Ventilation rates typically meet or exceed 6 air changes per hour (ACH) in industrial settings to maintain air quality.
